12/10/2007 - The oficial logo for the XIII RT de Especialistas en Mamíferos Acuáticos de América del Sur was presented In 2008, the XIII Reunión de Trabajo de Especialistas en Mamíferos Acuáticos de América del Sur and 7 Congreso de la SOLAMAC (Sociedad Latinoamericana de Mamíferos Acuáticos) will be held in Uruguay and organized by Cetáceos Uruguay and PROFAUMA. The official logo for the conference was presented on the 12 of October. The “mandala” (logo) was created by Uruguayan artist, Ago Páez Vilaró, and was presented at CasaPueblo with the presence of artist Carlos Páez Vilaró, Ministry of Tourism Mr. Lescano, journalists and government authorities. Within this presentation a new postal emission “Mandalas de Ago Páez“ was launched by the National Post Administration to promote research and conservation of marine mammals. Cetáceos Uruguay and PROFAUMA were present.
